This allows us to work with over 100 lenders, sometimes getting access to exclusive and semi exclusive deals and products enabling us to offer the best solutions for our clients.

Why Ambershield?

Why Amber Shield? Honestly, coming up with a business name is pretty tough! Even more so if you want it to have some kind of personal importance while still being relevant to the industry. Our founder Matt’s hometown is very much the key to deciphering our name.

“I’ve always been incredibly proud to call Newport my hometown. I even wear one of its famous landmarks as a tattoo! It’s an area steeped in rich history from its expansion during the industrial revolution, to its political importance with the Chartist movement all the way back to the early Stone Age settlements. 

For anyone familiar with Newports sporting teams, the ‘Amber’ part will need no introduction. Our rugby team is known as the ‘Black & Ambers’ and fans of Newport County Football Club are fondly referred to as the ‘Amber Army’. 

As for the shield? That’s a reference to the famous Roman amphitheatre and Army barracks at Caerleon, but it also ties in nicely with our comprehensive approach to the financial protection and wellbeing of our clients.” - Matt Lindsey.
